The 4th edition of the Summer Course on Vaccinology for Students will take place

It is organized by the Centre for the Evaluation of Vaccination (CEV) of the University of Antwerp, together with the students of EMSA Antwerpen.

This year’s edition of the summer course will take place from Friday 6 July 2012 until Friday 13 July 2012. Arrival day is Thursday 5 July 2012 and departure day is Saturday 14July 2012.

The summer course covers a wide variety of topics: we will explore the history of vaccines, the diseases that can be prevented by vaccines, the way the human body reacts to a vaccine, the scientific development of vaccines. We will also try to get a better understanding of the myths and realities about vaccination. Furthermore, it is a responsibility of every healthcare worker, even when not directly involved in immunization, to communicate and inform the people about vaccines. We are therefore happy to offer you this topic in a high quality educative programme with Belgian and other European experts.

During this week (and also in the weekend), students of EMSA Antwerp will provide a cultural and social programme so you can enjoy Belgium and get to know each other! This includes an EMSA cultural village party, a guided tour in Antwerp by night, and lots of other nice activities!

That is our recipe for a great summer course: a nice and balanced combination of learning and fun, unusual environments and many young people from different backgrounds.
